Consantly crashes

Not sure what the issue is but it constantly crashes on my MBA 11”. Otherwise it’s ok - no major breakthrough in browsing… Forntunately it’s for free.

NOTA 10

Great browser! Its lighter, faster and prettier than Chrome, Firefox and others! I surely recommend it!

Crashes too frequently

When I go to some pages have video, it crashes. It even crashes with pages do not have video but HTML5. Too bad. I like the tab thumbnails and gestures but I will replace my Chrome until you fix all crash bugs. For now, I stick with Google Chrome.

excellent

- excellent browser ; but on macbook air an option for bigger text would be very useful…

Good and bad.

I love the unique style this web browser has. Its different from those bigger company browsers. Every action has transition animations and I love that. However, its definitely struggling in smooth scrolling. When Im loading some websites, my Safari scrolls very smoothly even when not finished loading, but this one is choppy. And when also comparing both browsers after finished loading, Safari is again smoother. This web browser is kind of "jittery" while scrolling. I wont be using it, but Ill come back again to see if there are any good updates.

Promising but currently not ready

A few things about Slepinir. 1) The AppStore version is missing quite a lot of features from the (also free) direct download version. None of those are really deal breakers, though I did find the AppStore version to be a little less stable too. 2) Slepinir did away with extension support in version 2. Unfortunately that means there is no way to do ad blocking in Slepinir 4. I feel this is really a deal breaker for any browser today. This should be supported natively or through some sort of extension framework. Support for other privacy features (beyond those built into webkit like do-not-track and 1st/3rd party cookies) would make this a fantastic browser. Beyond that, its a very fast WebKit based browser. The UI is pretty and the gestures are smart (though I had to change the two finger side to side back to next/prev page instead of next/prev tab). Definitely has promise but the feature set lags Safari (which is just as fast albeit not as pretty) and the other mainstream browsers. I’d definitely use it as my browser if it had some way to do ad blocking.

A step backward.

Sleipir does run one website correctly where the majors fail, my reason for using it. No longer any built-in ad blocking as in V3.6 and none available from 3rd parties for this minor browser. Ill probably delete it.

A useless for e web browser

I started it up, that went OK. Then I tried to import my Safari bookmarks, after I clicked off making this browser first in the line. Sady it was stuck and wouldn’t GO ? Quit it and tried again, still no go. So I’ll delete is and use it’s disk space for something useful.

Unstable

I like the mobile version so tried this one with MBP13Retina(8G Ram) but it’s too unstable and freeze so often. Please fix it asap.

Great, but...

Sleipnir is really one of the best browsers on Mac. But, there are some strange things in it: - Why is it impossible to add (or remove) more TileTab groups? - In lion fullscreen mode — when you hover mouse over the top, and when the menubar appears, the bookmarks bar doesnt appear (like it is in Safari). - Gestures sometimes are not recognised. - Im really waiting the Sleipnir Black Edition to appear in Mac App Store. And speaking about it — why does it use such an outdated WebInspector? Why not the one from Chrome Canary? Anyway, Ive now switched to Sleipnir and dont wanna go back. Thanks for a good product! P.S. Just noticed another bug (or is it a feature?): if you connect to Fenrir Pass, and want to save a page to cloud as a PDF, to Evernote or Dropbox, it saves only a visible portion of the site. Well, whats the sense in that? You can make the same screenshots using native Mac OS X screen capture.

Need’s a little work!!!!!!!!!

For some unkown reason the browser presently can’t open PDF documents from catalog companies online. Really need to fix this….A.S.A.P!

Sleipnir 4.5.2

I use this browser now and then, but I feel it requires the option of adding a pop-up blocker. I had a pop-up come up within the hour and saying that I had Malware and to call the phone number posted. It also prevending me from the tab that it came up on. I eventually got rid of it by using the "Froce Quit Applications" that is part of Apple Software. I am using system 10.11.5 in case you are interested. That is all I can say for now, otherwise Sleipnir is pretty lean and operates rather quickly. However, again, the concern here is the pop-up situation which could be a little tricky and maybe dangerous to your well being.

Great..but with bugs

The ideal browser for all the research intencive browsing I do. I does use allot of ram, but with 16 gigs on my 13inch 2015 Mac Book Pro it is ideal to debate reaserch, expeshally if it were to work as it’s supposed to. Unfortianitly the book mark all open tabs function isn’t working for me which is a huge pain! Please fix!!! I could not find any way to contact you other than through here so if you respond I can give you 5 stars. Thanks for the innovation. I expeshally love being able to swipe between tabs by flicking left. I can’t do that on any other browser!f

TOO BAD i CAN’T USE IT…….

When I started the browswer it asked if I wanted to import my bookmarks and history from Safari….. Well, I clicked on yes and it didn’t progress to set it up…. The app just froze. Please fix this asap …..

• UPDATE: View menu options now broken!

UPDATE: Sleipnir Browser v4.5.4 — the View menus page/text resize options are all unavailable (greyed-out) (macOS 10.12.1). [However, they *are* working in the Black Edition of Sleipnir.] WAS: Updated! YEA!!! — Sleipnir, one of the most innovative web browsers The Wolf is loose! Yeah! And Sleipnir is ridable again! (It’s no longer constantly crashing into the Finder.) The off-store “black” version has been updated, too! Sweet. By Wotan’s beard, if you’re looking for an ordinary, pedestrian browser, this it not it. This here is Sleipnir. Our patience with and faith in this highly original and innovative web browser developer are justified. Thank you, thank you, thank you! (PS. There’s a bit of oddness with page formatting when turning JavaScript on and off.) (PPS. On a historical note, fyi, other comtemporary browser gesture interfaces, and some traditional holo interface gestures, actually originated with Sleipnir.)

Good features, but...

I like the browser. It works well and integrates multitouch technology with magic mouse or magic track pad. It is sleek and trim in appearance letting you do what you went online to do. The one issue I have been running into is that it crashes after being left idle. If I get called away or am working on something else for a few minutes and then come back to it, when I click on the first thing in the browser to do it crashes and a report pops up asking to restart or cancel.

It’s okay, but...

One of the great limitations of this browser is the inability to install extensions. Virtually every other browser available supports either Chrome extensions (for example, Vivaldi) or at least have their own extensions available (for example, Firefox & Opera). As a result, users have no ad-blocking options (since ad-blocking is not built into this browser) which means that users must deal with all the annoyances and potential security threats of ads.

very innovative. great for multiple work areas.

this is my default web browser on my mac and on my iOS devices. the visible tabs on top remind me of omniweb - which is a good thing. the tiled tab view is great. i organize my site by subject (work, social, research, etc) they update the app at a very decent rate with new features. im looking forward to new features such as: sharing current web page via email, twitter, Facebook readability support proper printing support / email as PDF thanks for all the hard work! happy to see you in app store : )

Awesome Browser

Its fantastic you have to try it. And thanks for keeping it free.

On the right track

I absolutely encourage the developers to continue fixing bugs. I prefer the layout of this browser to that of chrome, safari and firefox. This browser also loads faster than those ones. I like the bookmarks layout as well. There are a few issues that I should mention. First, in gmail I cannot scroll using a trackpad. The scrolling does not stop when I stop and I end up at the bottom of the page. Second, I have my dock on the left side of my screen. When I use the quick bookmark button, the box that appears goes outside of the browser window and ends up behind my dock. This is a problem because Im unable to click on the folder where Id like my bookmark to go. Third, the use of a two-finger sideswipe to switch between tabs (very good idea by the way) only works in the left direction. If I do a two-finger sideswipe to the right, nothing happens. Other than these relatively minor problems Im a fan.
