Sleipnir App Reviews
awesome app
i loved the browser … but its keep crashing !!
Where can I change the front size?
When the front size or pic size is too small (large), how can I zoom in or out? As the gesture is already occupied by TiledTab?
I tried both this and Robin and whereas I though Robin was going to win my heart because it has site specific browsing, I found that the tiled tabs and developer tools made sleipnir the top for me. I am a web developer and always end up with a million tabs open in 3 or four different window. Tiled tabs eliminates the inability to navigate all that.
Great browser for basic needs. Cannot display content of the Business Insider website (bug). The UI suggests you can freely move and sort pages, but you cannot, neither in the dock, nor the thumbnails.
I have already made this my default browser. I still us the other browsers from time to time. But like previous Reviews, Download the black version, it has a few more bells to it. There is also a syncing feature called pass just as good as the other browsers for cloud backup of your bookmarks so you can go from computer to computer and even different OSs on different computers and have the updated bookmarks and such. This is well worth it.
Support Chrome extensions
If you can be added to extensions system will increase the availability Google option!!!!
It looks nice, but to be honest the interface is so busy trying to keep everything out the way that a lot of controls just take longer to get too. I find the gestures highly annoying I often find I accidently activate one, closing or reloading tabs! I think you should look at Roccat Browser (not on app store) which I find to be a much better implementation of a modern browser, plus it is way faster. I can see potential though, so keep up the work.
Guys, the browser is great. But dont update! Everytime an update is loaded, the bookmarks in the bookmarks disappear and the browswer is reset--none of the tabs I had open previously open again.
this worked well, until it froze up and quit for the first time...this it almost never would let me open a new tab(it would auto-quit). then after the last time it did this, i open it up and it is completely black aside from a strip of the application bar at the top where the "quit. minimize. change window size." buttons are...FIX THIS!!!
Cool concept
Nice idea and looks great but full of bugs and crashes
Sleipnir is a brilliantly designed web browser alternative. The only thing it lax is Extentions; Disconnet, Ghostery or DNT+ would be nice start. Best thing since Shiira was discontinued! ****
I love its gestures, which is much more convenient than safari. Tab grouping is a great feature for those who open tons of tabs. Perhaps supporting chrome extensions like its windows version would make it a seven star app.
The Sleipnir Browser fits all of my needs. It is fast, easy to use, and lighter on RAM and CPU than some of the other available options. This means that the whole system runs faster, and because the browser uses WebKit, it displays webpages exactly as it should. As a web developer, I have four web browsers currently installed. Sleipnir is my default browser, and I’ve had no problems at all with it.
this is the best browser around by far. if you have imac and a touch flat panel mouse its amazing to open and close and browse thru open windowns and navigate.
This is a really well designed browser. It does a great job on focusing on the web content and making the interface simple and easy to use! Browsing through Facebook, for example, just feels…better.
Im really enjoying the browsing experience so far. I have found no flaws with the speed, and I love the minimal, easy-to-follow layout and design. My one complaint is that it does not support WebGL, and as a 3D graphics hobbyist I use a lot of online tools that require it. I will be continuing to use Sleipnir for most of my browsing purposes and switching to Chrome when I need WebGL, but I eagerly await the support in future updates! Keep up the good work, friends!
Meh
When I first downloaded this it looked promising, but after using it for a while it is not even worth trying.
Unprofessional
1. No URL; 2. No source code 3. No keyboard zoom in/out
Best Browser in OS X and the true competitor to Safari
Smart gestures-led browser i like often to browse on Sleipnirs another easy way to see the web
If you want a very simple web browser this is it. It could use more features though such as extensions. For that reason Id personally use safari. I dont have an iPhone so I cannot tell you how the mobile aspect of it works.
